Asked often — answered honestly
Including the awkward ones. If your question isn’t here, ask us directly — we answer everything.
Ask us anything
We reply to every question within about two business days, whether or not it leads anywhere.
Are you a recruitment agency?
Not in the traditional sense. Think of us as a connection and guidance service: we get to know physicians and healthcare employers, and when we see a genuine fit, we refer them to each other. Hiring decisions, contracts, credentialing, and licensing always remain directly between the physician and the employer.
Do physicians or employers pay anything for your help?
No — introductions and guidance are free for both sides, with no obligation at any stage. There are no placement fees, no success fees, and nothing recovered indirectly. Whether or not an introduction leads anywhere never changes what you pay us, which is nothing.
How can this be free? Who’s behind it?
Prairie Physician Link is operated by [Your Immigration Firm Name], an immigration consulting practice led by a Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant (RCIC #XXXXXX). We offer the connection service free because it’s how we give back to the profession we serve — and, candidly, because some physicians who meet us here later choose our firm for their immigration work.
That choice is always yours: introductions are never conditional on hiring us for anything, immigration services are always under a separate written agreement with their own fees, and you’re free to use any licensed representative — or none at all.
I trained outside Canada — can you help me?
Yes. We regularly work with internationally trained physicians. We’ll help you understand how provincial college requirements and practice-ready assessment pathways apply to your background, and point you toward the provinces and programs where your qualifications are the strongest fit. We don’t replace the official bodies — we help you navigate them.
Which parts of Canada do you cover?
All of it — every province and territory. We know the Prairie provinces and Western Canada especially well, and we maintain relationships with clinics and communities coast to coast.
Where are you located? Can we meet in person?
Our office address is in downtown Edmonton, Alberta. Day to day, our team works remotely and meets physicians and employers by video and phone — which is exactly what lets us serve every corner of the country equally well. In-person meetings can occasionally be arranged by appointment.
How long does the process take?
It varies widely. A practice-ready Canadian physician might receive introductions within weeks; an internationally trained physician working through licensure may be on a many-month journey. Either way, we’ll give you an honest read on your timeline early on.
What happens after an introduction is made?
The relationship is yours. You and the other party handle interviews, site visits, negotiations, and paperwork directly. We stay reachable in the background for questions, and we like to check in after the dust settles.
Do you guarantee a job or an immigration outcome?
No, and we’d be wary of anyone who does. Hiring decisions rest with employers, licensure rests with the provincial colleges, and immigration outcomes rest with the federal government. What we promise is honest guidance and thoughtful introductions.
How do you handle my personal information?
Carefully. Nothing about you is shared with an employer — or anyone else — without your explicit say-so, and we never sell data. Our privacy policy sets out exactly what we collect and how to have it deleted.
